TPS2592ZADRCT is a PMIC, or power management integrated circuit, specifically part of the Hot Swap Controllers family. It is designed to allow the power supply of a system to be removed and inserted while the system itself is running, by providing the system with an uninterrupted supply of power in spite of hot swapping.TPS2592ZADRCT is used in applications that require high voltage, low power, optimized performance, and/or low logic supply voltage. These applications include consumer, computing, and storage applications, as well as server and blade systems, telecom power distribution, and medical and industrial applications. The combination of the Hot Swap Controller’s current-limiting capability, soft-start capability, and fault protection makes it an ideal choice for these applications.TPS2592ZADRCT features a configurable voltage. By varying the power source voltage, the system can be optimized for different applications, and the device’s high-side MOSFET is rated for up to 20V. The device also includes an adjustable soft-start capability, which enables the gradual ramp up of the power supply voltage, protecting against overvoltage during turn-on overshoot, and allowing the system to increase its power supply voltage in a controlled manner.It also has a current-limiting feature, which protects the power supply from overcurrent by setting a maximum current limit for the entire system.
