1. Describe

The TPS26600PWPT device is compact, with a wealth of high-voltage electronic fuses and a full set of protection functions. The wide power input range of 4.2 to 60 V allows control of many popular DC bus voltages. The device can withstand and protect loads from positive and negative supply voltages up to ±60 V. Integrated back-to-back FETs provide reverse current blocking, making the device suitable for systems with output voltage retention requirements during power failure and brownout conditions. Load, supply, and device protection have many adjustable features, including overcurrent, output slew rate, and overvoltage and undervoltage thresholds. The internal robust protection control block and the high voltage rating of the TPS2660x help simplify system design for surge protection. The shutdown pin provides external control for enabling and disabling the internal FET and placing the device in a low current shutdown mode. For system status monitoring and downstream load control, the device provides fault and accurate current monitoring outputs. The MODE pin allows flexible configuration of the device between three current-limit fault responses (circuit breaker, latch, and auto-retry modes). The devices are available in 5mm x 4.4mm 16-lead HTSSOP and 5mm x 4mm 24-lead VQFN packages and are specified over the –40°C to +125°C temperature range.
