The operation of the voltage supervisor is quite simple; the VMD monitors the voltage level at the two inputs and compares with the voltage reference. When the input voltage is below the reference, the output of the device is asserted, indicating that the power supply voltage is below the predetermined level. Similarly, when the input voltage is above the reference, the output of the device is not asserted, indicating that the power supply voltage is above the predetermined level.
