TPS7148QP is a Positive Fixed Output Low Power Low Dropout Voltage Regulator by Texas Instruments. It is a positive voltage regulator with a wide operating current range of 550µA . It is mainly used to supply low current digital ICs, devices used in wireless communications, and battery powered applications. This Low Dropout regulator can dissipate power up to 250mW in surface mount applications. In addition, it offers excellent power solutions for low power applications with excellent power supply rejection, line and load transients, and thermal stability.

The device is available in the industry-standard SOT-223-5L, SOT-23 and SC-70 packages. It is also available with a fixed output voltage of 3.3V, 3.6V and 5V. Depending on the requirement, these devices can also be configured to provide output voltages in the range of 0.8V to 5.0V.

Integrated into the TPS7148QP is a low-drop protective diode which can provide disable functions and short-circuit protection. This diode is capable of protecting the device from low-amperage, transient current levels. The TPS7148QP also features a wide input voltage range of 1.8V to 5.5V and an output current of 200mA.

The TPS7148QP operates at a maximum junction temperature of 125°C and incorporates circuit components with a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. It has a fixed VOUT, low quiescent current, and a high PSRR. These features make it an ideal power solution for any low power digital device.

The core feature of the TPS7148QP is its low-dropout voltage regulator design. This design allows it to regulate the output voltage despite a very small amount of voltage drop across the regulator.
