TPS71725DCKT is a 5-A, low-dropout (LDO), linear voltage regulator family featuring extremely low quiescent current and ultra-low dropout voltage. It provides cost-effective power management solutions for battery-powered and dc-input applications. With its wide operating input range of up to 16V and output voltage range of 1.2V to 5V, the device is suitable for various applications including those requiring low voltage, low quiescent current operation. An internal PTAT (proportional to absolute temperature) circuit helps to reduce the dropout voltage and adjust the output voltage over temperature and ensure stability.

The TPS71725DCKT family is designed for low noise, low-dropout operation with no additional external components. The devices provide output voltage accuracy at ±1% and over temperature stability of ±3% to ±5%. For increased safety and robustness, the TPS71725DCKT also has protection feature like overvoltage, overtemperature and output overload/reverse capacitor protection.
