Working Principle

The TPS76833QPWPG4 linear regulator employs a proprietary architecture that features an onboard low-noise, low-dropout voltage regulator. This voltage regulator is built on a PMOS process and features a number of innovative circuit topologies, including an optimized high CMRR constructed with two feedback loops, resulting in ultra-low noise and wide dynamic range. The voltage regulator also incorporates an integrated P-channel, N-channel MOSFET output driver, which helps reduce output capacitance, resulting in improved response to input voltage transients.

The TPS76833QPWPG4 offers an adjustable output voltage between 0.73V and 3.8V, while providing a very low-dropout voltage. Moreover, this linear regulator is very efficient, as it only consumes 100μA at 1.8V Vout. In addition, it includes an over-current protection, a power good flag and a thermal shutdown system.
