Working Principle

The TPS77118DGKR is a low drop-out (LDO) linear voltage regulator. It works by using a reference voltage that is generated by an internal bandgap voltage reference circuit which is then compared to a voltage on an external feedback pin (FB). The error amplifier then compares the reference voltage and the feedback voltage and adjusts the LDO output voltage to match the reference voltage while limiting the current drawn from output pin (OUT). The voltage on the feedback pin is fixed and should not be varied.
