TPS77725PWPRG4 is an adjustable low-dropout positive linear voltage regulator. It is particularly designed for the most critical space-restricted and power sensitive applications, such as notebook computers, cellular phones,set-top-boxes, etc. This device offers higher power density than similar products in the market due to its proprietary BiCMOS plus DMOS process and its industry-standard Power-PAD thermally enhanced packaging. This device is a 3A adjustable low-dropout regulator which combines a PNP bipolar pass device and a PMOS power transistor. It is rated to output voltages from 0.8V to 4.2V at up to 3A of output current while providing fast transient response and good line/load regulation.

The device also has a logic input that may be used to remotely enable or disable the device. This function is provided by the "En" pin. A logic input of 1V results in the device being enabled, while a logic input of 0V disables the device. By connecting this pin to Vout the device is always enabled.
