Working Principle:

The TPS7A1633DRBR is a low-dropout linear regulator that employs an N-Channel MOSFET as a series pass element. It operates by shunting excess voltage across the output to ground. This action regulates the output, producing a stable output voltage at the VIN pin of the regulator and at the output, even when supply voltages change or when the output current increases. The regulator also employs a voltage reference to set the reference voltage, as well as an error amplifier that constantly monitors and compares the output voltage and the reference voltage.

In addition, to optimize the device for ultra-low-dropout operation, the MOSFET is operated near its fully-on condition. This minimized resistance across the pass device and thus presents a very low output-to-input differential voltage.
