1. Describe

The TPS7A3301RGWT series linear regulators are negative voltage (–36V), ultralow noise (16µVRMS, 72dB PSRR) linear regulators capable of delivering 1A maximum load. The TPS7A33 family includes a complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) logic level compatible enable pin (EN) to allow user-defined power management schemes. Other available features include built-in current limit and thermal shutdown to protect equipment and systems during fault conditions. Designed using bipolar technology, the TPS7A33 family is primarily intended for high-accuracy, high-precision instrumentation applications where clean voltage rails are critical to maximizing system performance. This feature makes it ideal for powering operational amplifiers, analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), digital-to-analog converters (DACs), and other high performance analog circuits. In addition, the TPS7A33 series linear regulators are suitable for post-DC-DC converter regulation. By filtering out the output voltage ripple inherent in DC-DC switching conversions, the Max System ensures performance in sensitive instrumentation, medical, test and measurement, audio and RF applications. For applications requiring positive and negative high performance rails, also consider the TPS7A3301RGWT positive high voltage, ultralow noise, low dropout linear regulator.
