The TS831-4ID is a Member of Texas Instruments’ (TI) Supervisors Product Line, a collection of specialized integrated circuits that provide a wide range of power-related functions and features to monitor, supervise, and protect a system’s power components. For each monitored voltage, there are two outputs can be controlled independently; one push open-drain output and one programmable fixed output delay. User can use different combination output type, delaytime and resistor selection depending on their application.

TS831-4ID also supports auto retry and power-on reset (POR) signal generation. Auto retry can be enabled in every channel inputs, allowing user to quickly and easily restart the power supply in the event of a fault. While, the Power-on Reset pulse can be used to signal the system initialization. This signal works by generating a reset pulse at the falling edge of the pull-up Voltage Supply after power-on.

In addition, the TS831-4ID provides extra protection from overcurrent and over voltages, ensuring the safe operation of the system. The user can monitor one or more supply voltages in the system, and if any of the supplied voltage exceed the set limit for either excessive overcurrent or overvoltage, then the set output(s) of the corresponding channel can be triggered.

The TS831-4ID is designed to comply with the Industry-standard 8-pin 8-TSON package. This package provides good thermal conductivity, allowing the device to handle high temperatures while still operating in an ultra-low power state.
