Linear comparators have found a variety of uses in the rapidly evolving fields of electronics. They are generally used to compare two analog signals in order to detect a specified difference in voltage, frequency or other parameter present between them. This comparison is then used to trigger a response or initiate an action. The TSM934CSE+ is an integrated circuit (IC) intended for use in precision linear comparator applications.
The TSM934CSE+ is a high-performance, low-power comparator that has been optimized for application in power supply and energy meters, automotive electronic control units (ECU) and other industrial-type applications. It contains an oscillator, a single-ended input amplifier, an open-drain output driver and a quiescent current of less than 120 μA. It is capable of operating from a simple 2.5 V to 6 V range and is designed to reject up to 30 dB of common-mode noise. The input impedance of the TSM934CSE+ exceeds 1011 Ω. As such, it can be used to accurately measure voltage signals, frequency signals and other analog signals with a high degree of stability.
The working principle of the TSM934CSE+ is based on a differential amplifier designed to respond to small differences between two analog signals. It operates by comparing two input signals and then providing an output that is either high or low depending on the magnitude of the difference between them.
