Among these capacitors, the TVA1604-E3 series capacitors are a series of aluminum electrolytic capacitors manufactured by Tevic Electronic Ltd., offering exceptional capacitances of up to 680µF and voltage ratings up to 400V DC. This paper explores the characteristics and applications of the TVA1604-E3 aluminum electrolytic capacitors, their features, and working principle.The TVA1604-E3 series capacitors are cylindrical, long life, low-impedance capacitors with a non-solid electrolyte and an epoxy resin casing. Each TVA1604-E3 capacitor is constructed with snap-in terminals and epoxy resin casing, a long-lasting wet oxidation protective coating applied to the anode, and a non-solid electrolyte. TTVA1604-E3 capacitors come in a variety of terminations, sizes, and capacitances, and operating temperatures up to 85°C. An aluminum electrolytic capacitor has two main components, the anode and the cathode which are separated by an electrolyte solution. The anode is a metal foil etched with microscopic pores while the cathode is a metal foil with an oxide coating on it. When a voltage is applied across the two metal foils, current will flow through the electrolytic solution and the electrolyte will dissolve the oxide on the cathode, producing positive charges on the cathode foil. These positive charges attract the negative ions from the anode side, resulting in charge buildup on both sides, forming an electrostatic field in between them and storing energy.The working principle of the TVA1604-E3 aluminum electrolytic capacitors is the same as the general aluminum electrolytic capacitor. A voltage is applied across the electrodes, which causes current to flow through the electrolyte, creating an electric field between the two. This electric field stores the energy and conserves it until the voltage is removed from the capacitor. Additionally, this electric field blocks the electron flow in the reverse direction, allowing these capacitors to act as rectifiers.
