The UC382TDKTTT-ADJ is a three-terminal adjustable linear voltage regulator. It contains internal voltage reference, error amplifier, current-limiting and Thermal Overload Protection circuitry. The UC382TDKTTT-ADJ is designed to operate with a power supply voltage of up to 17V. An input voltage of VIN is applied to the IN terminal of the regulator which is then compared to the internal reference voltage of Vref. The error amplifier compares the two voltages and amplifies the difference. The amplified signal is then applied to the pass element (usually a P-MOSFET) which controls the output voltage of VOUT.The output voltage can be adjusted by the use of an external resistor divider between the ADJ terminal and the OUT terminal. This allows the user to adjust the output voltage between the minimum and maximum programmed voltage levels.The current-limiting, Thermal Overload Protection and Short-Circuit protection circuits of the UC382TDKTTT-ADJ prevent any excessive current or temperature problems.
