Working Principle
UC385TDKTTT-1G3 use PNP bipolar transistors to take advantage of the good linear voltage regulation properties of such devices, providing a precision voltage regulation system for current levels up to 2 A with a relatively minimal number of external components.
The output voltage VOUT of a UC385TDKTTT-1G3 device is determined by the ratio of two resistors—the adjustment resistor R2 and the series resistor R1. This voltage divider is usually connected between the output terminal and the reference terminal, although it could be connected between the reference terminal and ground.
