Working Principle

The primary side control circuit has four main parts: an error amplifier, compensation circuitry, a current sense circuit and a PWM comparator. The current sense circuit monitors the drain-source current of the power transistor while the PWM comparator compares the output of the error amplifier and the current sense circuit.

It allows a power semiconductor to switch off when its current starts to decrease and turns it on again when the current starts to increase. This function reduces switching losses and provides better load and line regulation.
UCC25706DGKG4 supports two independent selectable operating modes for achieving maximum efficiency.
