The UCC28C44PG4 is a monolithic Power Factor Correction (PFC) controller designed for professional online power supplies. It is particularly designed for zero crossing variable frequency, high Power Factor and high efficiency (up to 96.5%) application in the power range between 254.3 and 340Vrms. The device combines primary side regulation and quasi-resonant operation with Burst Mode operation or Low Frequency Mode (LFM) so that a full range of operation is achievable. This makes the UCC28C44PG4 ideal for applications such as PC Power Supply, LCD TV and Office Products.

The UCC28C44PG4 can be classified as a PMIC – AC DC Converters, Offline Switchers and is used for many different applications depending on the specific project. This type of unit is most often used to regulate and convert direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC) and is used in Solar inverters, Grid-connected PFC and Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS).
