Working Principle of the UF4008-G

However, when the reversed bias occurs, the flow of current is stopped because the electrons are captured by the cathode. This indicates that the current flow is then being reduced and the Voltage-Current (V-I) curve is showing that the current will not be able to go through the diode. This is the main principle that all rectifier diodes work on.
