Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors are one of the most common types of passive electronic components used in the majority of electronic circuits. They are a type of polarized capacitor whose construction consists of two electrodes, the anode and the cathode, separated by a dielectric material. The UFW1H101MPD aluminum electrolytic capacitor is an axial leaded device with a rated voltage of 25V and a capacitance of 10uF. This capacitor has a maximum temperature range of +105ºC and an operating temperature range of -40ºC to +85ºC. The UFW1H101MPD has an electrolyte composition of 85% ethanol and 15% mineral oil, and its maximum allowable ripple current is 25mA. The capacitor can also handle a voltage spike of up to 6.3V (1.25 times nominal voltage). The UFW1H101MPD can also be used in low-temperature and high-temperature applications.[1]

The UFW1H101MPD works according to the same principles as all other aluminum electrolytic capacitors. It consists of two metal electrodes, the anode and the cathode, placed in opposition to each other. The anode is made of aluminum foil, and the cathode is made up of a separately produced aluminum oxide layer. The aluminum oxide layer acts as a dielectric material and separates the two electrodes. When a potential difference is applied across the capacitor, electrons from the anode travel through the dielectric and interact with ions in the electrolyte to form an electric field. This electric field stores electrical energy as electrostatic energy. Once the electric field is established, it continues to store electrical energy as long as the voltage applied remains constant.[3]
