Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are widely used in many different types of applications, especially in the fields of electronics and power electronics. This gives the capacitor excellent electrical characteristics while also providing a long operational life.When the capacitor is in operation, the anode terminal is connected to the applied voltage connection and the cathode terminal is connected to the ground. As the capacitor charges up, a polarizing charge is created between the anode terminal and the cathode terminal, resulting in a capacitive voltage drop across the anode and cathode. This voltage is known as the “electrolytic voltage”, and it must exceed a certain voltage before the electrolyte becomes conductive.
