Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors

Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors, referred to hereinafter as capacitors, have a wide range of applications and are found in many electronic devices such as computers and laptops. The UHV0J221MDD capacitor is a specific type of electrolytic capacitor and is used for various applications. It is a polarize capacitor with a capacitance of 2200uF and voltage rating of 25V. Working Principle of UHV0J221MDD Capacitor

The UHV0J221MDD capacitor works on the principle of electrolytic polarization. The anode side becomes the negative terminal and the cathode side becomes the positive terminal. When the voltage is applied to the capacitor, the dissociation that occurs in the electrolyte results in the formation of charges that provide the required capacitance for the capacitor.

The plates of the capacitor are made up of aluminum that acts as the anode, and oxide film on its surface. The oxide layer is an insulating barrier between the anode and the electrolyte solution inside. The aluminum oxide acts as an dielectric medium, which means it increases the capacitance of the capacitor. When a proper voltage is applied to the capacitor, the oxide layer is polarized and the capacitance of the capacitor is increased. This process is known as polarization and capacitance.

The UHV0J221MDD capacitor is also designed to provide higher ripple current than aluminum electrolytic capacitors of the same size and capacity.
