Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors

Aluminum electrolytic capacitors, also known as aluminum electrolytic capacitors, use a liquid electrolyte, usually an aqueous solution, as a dielectric between two metallic electrodes. The two metallic electrodes are usually aluminum foils with a layer of oxide film attached to them to form an electric double layer.Capacitors are widely used in electronic circuits to temporarily store, filter, and release electrical energy. UHW2A221MHD1TO Working Principle

Unlike other capacitors, aluminum electrolytic capacitors use liquid electrolyte as a dielectric between two metallic electrodes, usually aluminum foils with a layer of oxide film attached to them to form an electric double layer. The anode is usually coated with powder film for temperature compensation, and the aluminum electrolytic capacitor is sealed with non-solid electrolyte. When voltage is applied, electric double layer effect generates electric conduction paths. Therefore, the power supply has a low loss function.

In an alternating electric field, positive ions in the electrolyte will move around the negative cathode and negative ions will move around the positive anode, and the mobility of the ions determines the relative direction of the current in the capacitor.
