Aluminum electrolytic capacitors, also known as an electrolytic capacitor or electrochemical capacitor, are polarized, passive two-terminal electrical components used in electronic circuits to temporarily store an electrical charge. They are the most commonly used type of capacitor, and are composed of two aluminum foils separated by electrically conductive electrolyte solution — an ionic solution of eutectic and anhydrous borax. They are useful for the measurement of current, the rectification of AC lines, and as the basis for resonant circuits.

UKW1H3R3MDD1TA capacitors are specifically designed for high frequency applications such as radio frequency (RF) applications, including mobile phone and Wi-Fi signals, as well as wireless applications, such as wireless charging. The ultra-low ESR (equivalent series resistance) of the UKW1H3R3MDD1TA helps reduce signal losses associated with frequency and is designed for high-frequency ripple current applications and board-level applications.

The UKW1H3R3MDD1TA capacitors are constructed with a three-dimensional metal dielectric, consisting of a thin, electrically insulating inner dielectric layer sandwiched between two conductive layers, separated by an insulating medium. This enables the capacitor to be self-healing and provides an extremely low ESR; as well as a high capacitance in a small form factor.

The cross-sectional view of the UKW1H3R3MDD1TA capacitor shows the metal dielectric in a loop pattern to help achieve a low ESR and high ripple current. The surface of the capacitor is composed of nickel film, which provides better insulation than traditional aluminum foil, and results in a higher working voltage.

The working principle of UKW1H3R3MDD1TA capacitors is based on the principle of electrostatic induction.
