Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors

The working principle is based on the principle of electrolysis. The internal electrolyte acts as a medium to accept and release electrons. When the anode is connected to the positive voltage, the positive ions in the electrolyte move towards the anode, releasing electrons to form a negative charge. At the same time, the negative ions in the electrolyte move toward the cathode, release electrons to form a positive charge. Thus, the capacitor is charged to a certain voltage. When the voltage is reached, the current decreases until it is cut off. When it is transferred to the opposite direction, the electrons on the positive surface will be attracted back to the anode, and the negative ions to the cathode, so that the capacitor will be discharged and the potential difference will be zero.
