The positive terminal is connected to the aluminum case, and the negative terminal is connected to the winding. The winding is a cathode current collector made of electrolytic paper. The electrolytic foil is an anode current collector.

When charging, a DC voltage is applied to the anode or positive terminal of the capacitor, so that a certain potential is formed with the aluminum case. Electrons are deposited on the surface of the anode through the dielectric layer, and then migrate to the anode collector via the electrolytic medium.
