The UPS1V470MED capacitor is manufactured with a non solid electrolyte, allowing for higher operating temperatures and greater longevity. Its construction consists of a wound anode that is sealed in an epoxy case and immersed in an electrolyte. The electrolytes create a lattice of metal ions around the anode and an electric field generated by applied voltage causes the metal ions to move and be deposited on the anode, forming an electrical double layer. This double layer stores charge, forming the capacitor.The end result is an electrolytic capacitor that has excellent performance and long, trouble-free life. It offers high ripple current capabilities, has low ESR and ESL, is vibration-resistant and features an operating temperature range between -25°C and +85°C. It is also available in a wide range of capacitance values ranging from 10 uF to 330 uF.
