The plates are coated with an insulating layer to keep the electrons from migrating between them. UPW2C3R3MPD stands for Ultra High-polarity Water-based Polymer Dielectric. It is a type of aluminum electrolytic capacitor that is designed to offer high capacitance and long operational life.
