Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors

Aluminum electrolytic capacitors consist of an aluminum oxide film formed on aluminum foil when anodizing in an electrolyte processed under controlled conditions. The electrolytic capacitors are a type of polarized capacitor, in which the electric field is applied in a single direction. They have large capacitance values and are known for their stability. The URU1V102MHD is one of the most popular models of aluminum electrolytic capacitors.

URU1V102MHD application field and working principle

The URU1V102MHD aluminum electrolytic capacitor is mainly used in various types of high-frequency, high-current circuit boards. This capacitor is made up of three electrodes: the first being the dielectric film, the second being the negative terminal and the third being the positive terminal. When a voltage is applied, the two electrostatic plates become negatively charged, which creates an electric current between them. The electric current then causes the dielectric film to become slightly charged, which further creates an electric field. This electric field then restricts the flow of current between the two metal electrodes, thus creating a charge.

The URU1V102MHD has an Overload Voltage of 25V and an Operating Temperature range of -30 to +125°C. Additionally, it has a very robust design featuring a rated capacitance of 100µF and tolerance of ±20%.
