UVR2C010MEA - Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor Application Field and Working Principle

Aluminum electrolytic capacitor, abbreviated as ALC, is a type of electrochemical capacitor. It usually consists of two aluminum foils, each covered with aluminum oxide formed anodic film and separated by paper or other insulating material soaked in electrolyte as the dielectric.The UVR2C010MEA is a type of miniature aluminum electrolytic capacitor with a 16V DC rated voltage and a 10uF capacitance value. The small size of this type makes it ideal for high density electronic applications, as it is widely used in communication devices, learning pens and other digital products.The main purpose of using aluminum electrolytic capacitors is to act as a filter, which can filter high frequency noise during signal transmission. ALC is also used for transient voltage suppression, smoothing and decoupling in power input circuits of electronic products, ripple elimination, DC power circuit of low-noise amplifiers and AC power circuit of switchmode power supplies.Aluminum electrolytic capacitor works by storing and releasing electric charge. When the capacitor is charged, the charger passes current through the two electrodes of the capacitor to generate an electric field in the dielectric layer, causing an accumulation of charges on the surface of each electrode. These charges create an electric field, which in turn provides a force to oppose the current. The connection of the two electrodes is made of metal, it plays an important role in the formation of the overall electric field of the capacitor.In the application of ALC, its main working principle is that when the voltage applied to one side is higher than the voltage on the other side, electrons from the lower side will flow to the higher potential side, causing a current pass through two electrodes. As the electrons move through the capacitor, the current will start to decrease and the stored energy in the capacitor will gradually increase. Thus, the capacitor begins to store energy in the form of electric charge.On the other hand, when the voltage applied on one side is lower than the voltage on the other side of electrode, the electrons stored in the capacitor will move to the lower potential side, resulting in a current flowing through the two electrode and allowing the energy stored in the capacitor to decrease. Thus, the capacitor will starts to release energy.In a word, the UVR2C010MEA is a type of capacitor widely used in high density electronics applications due to its miniaturization.
