Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are widely utilized in various electronic products, such as computers, TVs, monitors, and so on. UVR2E330MHA is one type of aluminum electrolytic capacitors, which mainly applies to the field of electric vehicles, solar energy storage, wind power storage, smart home, medical instruments and etc. It consists of two separate metal foil plates and a rectangular sheet of aluminum oxide (Al2O3) in between.

The aluminum oxide film is polarized in such a way that it acts as an insulator. This polarizing effect is triggered by the action of a positive plate (anode) made of aluminum foil covered with a layer of metal oxide and an electrical current going through it. As a result, the anode gains positive charge while the negative plate (cathode) made of aluminum foil without an oxide coating gains its negative charge.

The principle of UVR2E330MHA is based on the dielectricum of aluminum oxide. Generally, the smaller area of aluminum electrolytic capacitors demands the area with higher dielectricum. Thus, UVR2E330MHA uses a thicker layer of aluminum oxide that exceeds the normal level to meet the higher demands of the working principle.

The electrolyte solution used for UVR2E330MHA is a mixture of organic solvents and pure water, with an addition of hydrochloric acid. This electrolyte solution functions similarly to a battery, when the anode and cathode have different charges, electric energy will flow and generate a current. This current will form a spark, which will further emit reactive oxygen ion in the electrolyte solution. These oxygen ions then react with the aluminum foil anode and cathode to form aluminum oxide.

The electric energy that UVR2E330MHA generates and stores is obtained by the action of charging and discharging. While charging, an electrical current passes through the capacitor from the positive plate to the negative plate in order to generate an electrical field. This electrical field attracts the oxygen ions to the anode plate which then forms aluminum oxide.

The aluminum oxide film formed on the two plates is sensitive to the amount of current passing through the capacitor. If the current is too high, the aluminum oxide film may melt and cause the capacitor to fail. On the other hand, excessive current can also cause heat, leading to larger leakage than normal. Thus, UVR2E330MHA is designed to prevent overcharging and over-discharging.

Along with its various sets of specs, UVR2E330MHA presents distinct advantages across the board compared to other aluminum electrolytic capacitors.
