Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors

Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are the most widespread type of capacitor. They are generally used for energy storage and are characterized by having a large capacitance value for a relatively small size of capacitor. These capacitors are constructed by two aluminum foils that are rolled together and separated by an electrolyte. The electrolyte contains a very small amount of a chemical compound, usually termed an “oxidizer”, which functions to aid in the development of a thin film of oxide across the two foils. This oxide provides the dielectric layer which stores the charge of electricity.

UVZ1A330MDD Application Field and Working Principle

The UVZ1A330MDD is an aluminum electrolytic capacitor with large capacitance value that makes it well suited for power supply applications. With a voltage rating of 50V and a capacitance up to 330µF, this capacitor is capable of performing high-voltage tasks while offering a large amount of energy storage.
