Working Principle

It has a working principle of clamping transient voltages and spikes. V05E60P consists of two major components, a N-channel MOSFET and a zinc oxide Varistor, which are connected in series. The N-channel MOSFET is responsible for fast switching up to a few nano-seconds before the varistor can act to clamp the transient voltage. The Varistor is made of Zinc Oxide granular material which has a high nonlinearity, so that it can absorb large energy spikes and sharply reduce the voltage.
