In this article, we will discuss its application field and working principle.Application of VDRS10P250BSEVDRS10P250BSE is a unidirectional varistor which helps to protect semi-conductor devices from over-voltage or ESD. It is mainly used for the protection purpose of automotive, communication and consumer products, such as data lines, power lines, signal lines etc. Also, it is used for protecting circuit boards, memory cards, micro machines, etc.Working Principle of VDRS10P250BSEVDRS10P250BSE is made of zinc oxide based material and when current is applied, the internal structure changes and voltage drops. At cutoff voltage, the device is in its highest resistance state and when sufficient voltage is applied, the electrons move to the higher energy states and the current starts to flow with the help of negative feedback. The internal construction of VDRS10P250BSE has a conductive plate filled with zinc oxide dielectric material. The size and shape of the dielectric particles determine the cutoff voltage. When the applied voltage exceeds the cutoff voltage, the Zinc Oxide particles are rapidly attracted towards the conducting plate and the current starts to flow freely.The VDRS10P250BSE has a breakdown voltage which is considerably higher compared to other varistors and it also has a low status leakage current.
