Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors

Aluminium electrolytic capacitors are the most widely used type of electrolytic capacitor. The device consists of two aluminum foils separated by a paper or plastic film and impregnated in an electrolyte.A high-purity aluminum oxide layer functions as the dielectric layer and is formed on the surface of aluminum foils during the special electrolyte activation process. The electrolyte impregnation between aluminum foil and paper film thickens the dielectric strength of the component.Aluminium electrolytic capacitors use aluminum foil as the electrodes, as the metal oxide layer on the aluminum surface acts as the dielectric and creates the capacitor element.

WBR5000-16A Application Field and Working Principle

WBR5000-16A aluminium electrolytic capacitors are mainly used in high-precision applications that require high voltage and output current. Its capacitance value and working frequency range from 0.1µF ~ 1500µF and 10kHz ~ 100kHz, respectively. This component is widely used in a variety of industrial electronic products.The WBR5000-16A uses a cylindrical body made of aluminum and a dielectric which is based on electrolyte impregnation. It has a positive and a negative terminal, which are marked with a plus (+) and minus (-) symbol on the packaging.The WBR5000-16A has two metallic conductors placed between the dielectric medium. When electrical current passes through these conductors, a charge is created which then causes an electrostatic field to be formed, and this field is what determines the capacitance.When the power supply connected to the capacitor is switched off, the electrical current is no longer flowing and the capacitor returns to its initial state where there is no charge or electric field present. This process is called “discharging” and is beneficial when it comes to controlling the system, as it can help reduce the power consumption by turning off the power supply when it is not required.The WBR5000-16A also has an ability to filter out the undesired electrical signals. This filter is used to separate the desired signal from the noise created by the surrounding environment. It works by allowing the desired signals to pass, while blocking out the noise signals. This mechanism enables the WBR5000-16A to perform its function more efficiently and accurately.
