RESETW will remain asserted when the voltage at the TVM pins is above the predetermined trip points and will be deasserted when the voltage at the TVM pins drops below the trip points. This allows the system to respond before the reset is asserted.

The X5165S8IZ supervisor also includes a WATCHDOG pin, used to monitor the system for unrecoverable faults or hardware lockups. The WATCHDOG pin can be asserted to initiate a reset if the system is not responding as expected. If the WATCHDOG pin is asserted, the reset output will be asserted, regardless of the voltage level at the TVM pins.
