ZMM5230B-7: Application Field and Working Principle

The ZMM5230B-7, a single Zener diode, consists of a semiconductor diode that is designed to allow for the reversible conductivity of electric current of a certain specific voltage. It can be used in a wide variety of applications, including in telecommunications and power supplies, for industrial and commercial purposes and for other audio products as well. In application, a zener diode is connected in reverse bias form so that it gets subjected to high potential, while the other end is connected to the ground. The zener diode creates a potential barrier between the N-type and P-type material. When the zener diode is subjected to its reverse bias form, the electrical current starts to flow and is restricted only when the reverse junction potential reaches the non-conduction level.
