To simplify the process, a block diagram of the ZxGD3006E6TA showing the working principle has been provided in the datasheet.</p> <p>As per the diagram, a relatively low voltage (VCC_L) is applied to the gate of NMOS level shifter which drives the load, thereby triggering the switching element. The combination of MOSFETs (NMOS and PMOS) and a resistor divider form the gate drive signals which are applied to the gate of the switching element.</p> <p>When the high voltage (VCC_L) is applied to the gate of NMOS level shifter, current starts to flow through the resistor divider network, thus generating a voltage V_IN. The voltage V_IN is further amplified by the PMOS level shifter and supplied to the gate of switching element. It is this voltage which triggers the switching element and completes the sequence.</p> <p>The combination of NMOS and PMOS level shifters also act as a protection against over-voltage and over-temperature conditions.
