The evaluation board can be used for testing and validation of power conversion performance and characteristics such as accuracy of control, transient response, temperature rise, EMI/RFI suppression, dynamic voltage scaling, dynamic current limit, and fault conditions. Working Principle
The ZXSC100-EVAL evaluation module uses advanced power conversion technology for conversion of AC/DC to DC/DC or vice-versa. It consists of an input stage, DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS and output stage. The inputs can be AC, DC or even mixed AC/DC. The power conversion takes place through a direct conversion process, which involves conversion of AC input voltage into DC output voltage by power conversion topology.
The ZXSC100-EVAL uses an isolated topology for the DC/DC and AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS stages. This means that no direct connection is established between the input and output stages. This helps to prevent the risk of shock or power loss due to shorts or other dirt-induced faults. The power supply voltage can be adjusted to match the voltage of the application by using adjustable potentiometers.
The ZXSC100-EVAL also features a feedback circuit for controlling the voltage and current outputs.
