Description

The ZXSC100X8TC is an advanced digital PWM controller which combines a 100 V N-channel MOSFET, enhanced input stability, and an adjustable Low Dropout (LDO) regulator. The device includes an 8-bit microcontroller that provides increased protection features, frequency accuracy, and per-channel customization through an onboard oscillator and programmable memory. The device also provides an internal soft-start function, making it ideally suited for Input voltage regulation applications where inrush current is a concern. Working Principle

The ZXSC100X8TC is a high-voltage constant-frequency, current-mode PWM step-down DC-DC controller. It is capable of producing a regulated output voltage at an adjustable current-mode switching frequency, while providing both overvoltage and overcurrent protections. When a feedback voltage, which is set by an external resistor divider, is received by the device, the Pulse-Width Modulator (PWM) is engaged and the output voltage is regulated at the level of the voltage divider to the programmed output. In the event that overvoltage and/or overcurrent is detected, the PWM signals are inhibited and the voltage is prevented from further increase. The PWM frequency can be adjusted, to reduce the size of external components and to increase efficiency. The chip offers a sophisticated, reliable, and flexible solution for power conversion. It can be used in a range of applications and offers modularity for custom applications, making it a valuable tool for power and system design.
