Intel H61 chipset series board architecture

The IntelH61 chipset is a single-bridge architecture. The InteH61 chipset master board architecture is shown in figure 1.

The management and support functions of the H61 series chipset motherboard are as follows. `

1. CPU receptacle uses 1155 pins and supports Intel 2 generation 13, I 5, 17 CPU. The CPU internally integrates a video card controller and a memory controller.

2. CPU and PCH are the same as H55 chipset, using FDI bus to transmit video information and DMI bus to transmit control signal.

3. PCH supports VGA analog and DVI digital signal video interfaces.

4. PCH manages the Nic chip and the PCI-E X1 slot through the PCI-E bus and converts it out of the PCI slot.

5. PCH manages USB2.0 interface, SATA hard disk interface, SPI BIOS, sound card chip.

6. PCH manages the IO chip through the LPC bus.

7. IO chip manages keyboard, mouse, serial port, parallel port.
