A method of measuring nominal voltage of a varistor using voltage and current shields.

 

1. Detection circuit.

Take a varistor with a nominal voltage of 40V as an example, its test circuits are as follows figure 1 shows. The power supply voltage in the figure can use an adjustable DC power supply greater than 40V. 100V is the corresponding voltage block of the indicator multimeter, and the 100mA can use the corresponding current block of the multimeter.

 

 

Second, the detection method.

When testing, the method of gradually increasing the adjustable DC power supply, the ammeter should not be indicated at the beginning, -when the daily voltage rises to a certain value, the indicator value of the ammeter will increase significantly. The voltage value indicated by the voltmeter is the nominal voltage value of the varistor. Otherwise, the detected varistor has poor performance.
