1. Low-frequency transformer can be divided into audio transformer and power transformer , in the circuit can be divided into transformer, the output transformer, the interstage coupling transformer, the push transformer and the line transformer and so on. This type of transformer is the core transformer, its structure is mostly E-shaped core or ring core.

 

2. The main role of audio transformer in the amplifier circuit is coupling, phase inversion, impedance matching and so on. It is required that the frequency characteristic of the audio transformer is good, the leakage inductance is small, and the distributed capacitance is small.

The transformer is an audio transformer connected to the transmission end of the amplifier, the primary coil of the transformer is connected with the cable or the microphone, and the secondary coil is connected with the first stage of the amplifier.

 

3.The coupling transformer between the low amplifier of the transistor amplifier and the power amplifier is also known as the transmission transformer, and the former is respectively called the transmission transformer and the speech simple Transformers. The core of the transformer is usually made of high permeability ferrite or permalloy, and the low-grade ones are also made of high quality silicon steel. The secondary coil of the transformer is often provided with three leading-out terminals, so as to provide a symmetrical driving signal with opposite phase to the transistor power amplifier push-pull output stage.

 

4.The output transformer is the transformer connected to the output of the amplifier, its primary coil is connected with the output end of the amplifier, and the secondary coil is connected with the load ( loudspeaker, etc. ). Its main role is to lower the speaker impedance, through the output transformer into the optimum load impedance of the amplifier, so that the amplifier has the greatest distortion the output one achieves the purpose of impedance matching.

The output transformer also has the function of isolating the amplifier and the load DC circuit. Output transformer according to the output power level of the circuit, there are two kinds of unilateral and bilateral.

The nominal power of the output transformer is generally larger than that of the transformer, and the shape structure and the circuit symbol are similar to the transformer.
