The 106CKS450MLU is an Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor designed for use in differential line circuits, high voltage differential amplifiers, and impedance matching circuits. It features a radiative impedance of 18.5 nF, a frequency response of up to 20 kHz, and a temperature range of - 55°C to + 125°C

The 106CKS450MLU aluminum electrolytic capacitor is constructed of an aluminum foil and electrolyte based, self-enclosed structure. This self-enclosed structure provides improved temperature and life performance of aluminum electrolytic capacitors, over competing designs. The 106CKS450MLU is also designed with a shielded construction, which helps to reduce noise and distortion in electronic circuits.

The aluminum electrolytic capacitor of the 106CKS450MLU is an insulated type and works on the principle of dielectric-to- dielectric polarization. The aluminum foil acts as the dielectric with one side having the positive charge, that is the anode, and the other side having the negative charge, that is the cathode. When the electrodes are connected and subjected to a voltage, the capacitance formed is a function of the distance between the electrodes. This principle is repeated over the entire surface of the capacitor, forming a series of alternating electric field between each electrode couple.
