1N4937 is a small signal diode in a DO-41 glass package with a fast recovery time and a low forward voltage drop. It belongs to the series of single rectifiers, with a nominal forward voltage drop of 1.1V at 10A and a maximum forward voltage drop of 1.2V at 15A.

1N4937 is mainly used in the field of rectification, mostly used as input rectification in power etc. It is also widely used in automotive electronics, LED displays, LED lighting, audio amplifiers, TV receivers, etc.

The principle of 1N4937 is the same as other rectifiers. In the forward direction, when the voltage across the cathode and anode is enough, the diode will conduct, passing current from the anode to the cathode. During the reverse period, there is no current passing between the two.

In addition, 1N4937 also has a fast recovery time. After the forward voltage voltage drops below the minimum forward voltage, the internal junction capacitance absorbs the input current, and thediode quickly turns from the forward to the reverse direction, which is more suitable for rectification of high frequency signals.

1N4937 also has a high temperature resistance, which is an important feature for diodes used in rectification. It can still maintain relatively stable performance when the environment temperature reaches 175 degrees Celsius, so it can provide high temperature resistance.
