Working Principle

The 1SX26 works on a basic principle of physical contact closure. When the signal input voltage applied to the terminals of the device reaches a certain level, a contact closure occurs and the signal is transmitted to other circuits. The 1SX26 has two mechanical cycles, namely, Cutting Cycle (CC) and Moving Cycle (MC). The contact closure of the 1SX26 is only achieved when both CC and MC cycles are completed.The 1SX26 has internal contacts that consist of a stationary contact and a moving contact. These are hardened to resist shock and vibration. The stationary contacts are designed so that when the moving contacts close, the electrical path is established to complete the external circuit. The stationary contact and the moving contact are connected via a plunger. When the plunger is depressed, the moving contact is forced against the stationary contact and a contact closure is achieved.
