Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are widely used in today’s electronics, thanks to their relatively high capacitance, small size and low cost compared to other types of capacitors.

The 200PX47MEFC10X20 is an aluminium electrolytic capacitor with a low ESR (equivalent series resistance). It features a wide temperature range of -55 °C to 105 °C, long life of up to 2,000 hours at 105 °C, and a maximum ripple current of 1.5A.

The 200PX47MEFC10X20 can be used in high reliability, high temperature applications, such as motor drives, automotive applications, consumer electronics and electrical power supplies, among others. It is also widely used in various applications requiring high frequency operation.

The working principle of an aluminum electrolytic capacitor is based on the electrolytic depolarization of an aluminium oxide film, which acts as its dielectric. This film is formed by anodization of aluminium metal plates, which are then separated by a spacer and rolled up into a cylinder.

When a voltage is applied across the capacitor, a current flows through the anodized film, depositing metal ions and electrolyte molecules onto the surface of the capacitor. This process creates an electric field which then results in a charge distribution within the capacitor.

This charge separates the electrons on one side of the capacitor from the holes on the other side, forming a barrier which prevents the flow of electrons between the plates. The result is an increase in the capacitance of the device, in accordance with the laws of physics.

Because of this process, an aluminum electrolytic capacitor has an extremely high capacitance compared to other types of capacitors, making it well suited for high frequency applications. In addition, its small size and low cost make it very attractive for a variety of applications.
