Working Principle

When an electric potential forms across the two layers of aluminum, it encourages the accumulation of electric charges on both sides, forming the capacitor\'s capacitance. It mainly use the space of capacitor as an insulating separation which eliminates unnecessary residual current.
The two plates of electrolytic capacitors are made of aluminum foil and aluminum oxide which acts as the dielectric, and the electrolyte is placed inside the polarization of the aluminum oxide film. Applying an appropriate voltage to the capacitor will form an electric field which will allow electrons to move through the oxide film until it is fully saturated. When electric charge passes through the electrolyte, it forms an electric double layer with evenly charges which allows the capacitor to work.
