Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are fixed-value capacitors constructed of two aluminum foils, separator and electrolytic paper, and the electrolyte. This type of capacitor is widely used in many applications requiring high capacitance. The anode foil of aluminum electrolytic capacitors is sewn and with a electrolyte solution on one side. The cathode is aluminum foil with a surface that is printed with an organic layer, that act as a dielectric.The capacitance in aluminum electrolytic capacitors is typically expressed in "Farads" and the rated voltage in "Volts".
