Aluminum electrolytic capacitors consist of an anode made from an aluminum foil covered with an oxide layer, a paper spacer soaked in electrolyte, and a cathode made of an aluminum foil, all wound in a cylindrical container filled with an electrolyte. The most common aluminium electrolytic capacitors are rated for 25V and up.One such device, 511D107M160ER4D, is used as an electrolytic filtering capacitor in various radio applications.
