The ADM00360 is a common evaluation board used in DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS applications. It is an off-line evaluation board provided by Analog Devices and it performs several key tasks in any DC/DC & AC/DC SMPS system. The ADM00360 includes two independent independent power-supply pathways. The first pathway supports a DC-to-DC buck converter for applications that require a high-efficiency power conversion from one voltage to another. The DC-to-DC buck converter operates in either discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) or continuous conduction mode (CCM). The second pathway supports an AC-to-DC off-line flyback controller for applications that require a more efficient power conversion from AC source to DC output. The controller is capable of regulating the output voltage on both the primary and secondary windings of the transformer. Both pathways are designed using Analog Devices’ robust power management architecture, which is optimized to meet the dynamic demands of each application.

The ADM00360 is optimized for a wide range of applications such as battery charging, solid-state lighting, LED lighting, AC-DC adapters, line power supplies, and power tools. It is also interconnected with other devices in a power management system via several communication protocols such as UART, I2C, and SMBus. This allows the ADM00360 to accurately exchange data between other components as well as interact with other devices in the system.
